Best for: General display, windows, protection (where UV blocking is desired).

3. Polycarbonate (PC)

Polycarbonate is a high-impact engineering plastic.

❌ Poor natural UV transmission; requires special coatings

❌ Lower optical clarity (~88–90%)

❌ More expensive than acrylic

Best for: High-safety glazing, machine guards, outdoor panels (with UV coating).

4. Glass (Soda-Lime / Quartz)

• Soda-lime glass: Blocks most UV; low cost, clear visible light.
• Quartz glass: Transmits UV well (down to ~200nm), but very expensive & fragile.

• ❌ Heavy, brittle, safety risk if broken
